Robert Jones

Music Director

The Reverend Canon George Kwari has been serving as the Incumbent of St. Stephen’s since January 2017. With over six years of experience on the Diocesan Council, Reverend Kwari has also held the position of regional dean for Ottawa West for two full terms. His commitment to nurturing future leaders in the church is evident in his role as the Coordinator of the Summer Internship Programme and as Co-Coordinator of Fresh Start, which supports clergy in new parishes.

In addition to his leadership roles, he is an active member of the Executive Committee of the Algonquin Campus Ministry and the Property and Finance Committee of the Ottawa Diocese. He also coordinates chaplaincy efforts within hospitals, ensuring that pastoral care is readily available in various settings.

Reverend Kwari is passionate about sharing the story of the Triune God and takes great pride in well-structured liturgies that honour our Anglican traditions. His strong belief in justice for all drives him to meet the spiritual needs of his parishioners and beyond with genuine care, compassion, and concern.

Looking ahead, he believes that the future of the Church hinges on its ability to adapt and respond to inevitable changes.

Outside of his ministry, Reverend Kwari enjoys life with his wife, Epiphania, and their two children, Simba, currently enrolled in university, and Ropa, who is in Grade 8. Together they cultivate a warm and supportive family environment grounded in faith and community.

Robert Jones joined our staff as our Music Director effective January 1, 2023.  Bob brings many years of experience to this position.  Prior to joining St. Stephen’s he was the Organist and Choir Director at St. Luke’s, Ottawa from 1999 until it closed at the end of 2022. 

Bob has been the Director of the Seaway Valley Singers since 2004, plays for the Saturday mass at St. Basil's Roman Catholic Church and is the past president of the Ottawa Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists.

Jennifer (Jenny) Reid

Parish Administrator

Effective September 20, 2024 Jennifer (Jenny) Reid will be our new Parish Administrator. Jenny comes from Stratford, Ontario and is excited to work in our Parish.

Jenny will be in the office Mon, Wed and Friday 9 am to 3 pm and Tues and Thurs 1 - 4 pm.
