St Stephen's was founded on the unceded, traditional Anishinàbeg Algonquin Territory. We recognize the Algonquins as the customary keepers and defenders of the Ottawa River Watershed and its tributaries.
Worship With Us
Bishop Shane is pleased to appoint The Reverend Canon George Kwari as rector of St. Barnabas the Apostle and Martyr, Ottawa, effective May 5, 2025.
The Reverend Canon George Kwari's last day as incumbent of St. Stephen's will be April 27, 2025 after which he will transition to his new office and duties.
A special thanksgiving service to celebrate his ministry at St. Stephen's will be held on Sunday, April 27, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a light reception. Further details about the service and reception will follow.

Wednesday : Eucharist during lent at 10 am
Sunday Worship : 10 am
Holy Eucharist with traditional and contemporary hymns. We are pleased to offer Sunday School for children and youth during the service. There is a family-friendly area within the worship space available for children and babies if they wish to stay with their parents/guardians. Fellowship time follows, in the lower hall, or on the lawn, in the summer months.

Sunday April 13: 10.00 am - Palm Sunday Procession. Service followed by hot cross buns.
Monday April 14: 7.00 pm - Stations of the Cross
Tuesday April 15: 7.00 pm - Taize Service
Wednesday April 16: 7.00 pm - Healing service with Holy anointing and Eucharist
Thursday April 17: 8.00 pm - Holy Eucharist, foot washing, stripping of the Altar and Vigil until midnight
Friday April 18: 10.00 am - Good Friday service
Sunday April 20: 10.00 am - Easter Sunday service with baptism. The service will be followed by a potluck lunch
